Mike and I explored Bear Canyon on May 5, 2018. We wandered about a half mile up the trail. The wildflowers, including balsam root, castilleja, and lupine were rather profuse near the trail head, but petered out as we walked up the canyon. It's a gorgeous canyon, with lots of amazing cliffs and rock formations, but really, hike it for the inspirational bluebird houses. I'm itching to go back and explore more.
