Poetry for Autumn
Madrona over saltchuck
Letting go
Reaching
Golden light
Madrona chasing
Memory of sun
Color leaves the sea
Last light gone
Waves fall asleep
Old man sits on log
Fisher dives and salmon leaps
Gold light on water
Most brilliant thing
In the evening sky
Distant cloud
Capitol Dome
Rain, mist
Camouflaged
Salmon high
Golden space
Silhouette
Light fades
Pen stills
Two mallards rise
Autumn’s empty chasm
Spring’s torrent rushed
Pine yet clings
Autumn equinox
Summit of Third Burroughs
Brilliant fog
Sun in eyes
Fire on water
Kingfisher dives
Sunset stitched onto still water
Staccato song of the kingfisher
About to dive
