Mike and I took advantage of a gorgeous autumn day to make the drive over White Pass to the Oak Creek Wildlife Area, to hike along the Tieton River Nature Trail. I suspect we arrived for peak color, and with the mildest of breezes and warm temperature, it was a sublime day. Particularly stunning was the magnificent oak tree in a clearing.
